Safety - 3 October 2022

Thanks to all members of staff globally who worked together to keep each other safe, on 28 September 2022 Infinuem achieved one full year without any Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordable injury.

By reaching this safety milestone Infineum is directly contributing to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal n.3 (Ensuring Good Health and Wellbeing) as pledged in its sustainability approach.

Infineum Global Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) Director Enrico Bertossi said: “This is a truly outstanding achievement which represents a major Safety milestone in our journey towards Nobody Gets Hurt.  We can be even more proud of being able to serve our customers developing and manufacturing excellent products while keeping our employees safe.”

According to the UN International Labour Organisation an estimated 374 million people every year suffer from work-related injuries and almost 7,500 people die from unsafe and unhealthy working conditions every single day (source UN Global Compact).

Infineum’s injury rate continues to trend down while its safety performance is the best in the additives industry and is leading-edge within the petrochemical industry.

Mr Bertossi continued: “I am honored of being the Global HSSE Director of a company that always puts safety first and I want personally thank all members of staff across the world for their continued commitment to safety. We must all celebrate this injury-free milestone and feel proud of how we have taken care of each other.”
