Our team in Brazil recently supported their local community and were rewarded with an artistic surprise from family and friends for doing so.
Collectively, the staff donated 60 cans of much-needed powdered milk to the “Saude Crianca Ilha”, a non-government organisation (NGO) that aims to improve the quality of life for children with cleft palate.
HR Specialist, Bruna Faria delivered the donations to the hospital. She explained: “It was magical. It was the first time I’d joined an in-person campaign. I could see the love of the people who work at the NGO for what they do. It was touching to see Celene, the co-ordinator of Saude Crianca Ilha, lovingly engaged in the social service she provides.”
Those who donated received a gifted notebook (pictured below) with paintings by children known to Infineum colleagues, including sons, daughters, nephews, nieces, and neighbours, used as the front cover. The children learned about protecting the environment whilst they painted colourful designs of recycling, animal welfare, and global warming, under the supervision of parents or guardians. The gifts were handed out as a special thank you to colleagues for supporting the local community.
The donation is part of our sustainability approach, in particular our commitment to UN Sustainable Development Goal 3, improving the well-being of the communities where we operate.
